Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in analytics or data science, with 3+ years in a leadership role
- Expert-level SQL and proficiency with modern data stack tools (dbt, Snowflake, Looker or similar)
- Experience building and managing analytics teams in high-growth consumer or delivery businesses
- Commercial fluency. You understand what moves the numbers in a consumer business – frequency, retention, basket, margin, CAC – and you can identify which analyses will actually shift them and which won't
- Ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders
What the job involves:
- Grow and lead the UK analytics team - define the right team shape (analyst mix, seniority, coverage), make the hires, and develop them into a high-performing function
- Own the UK analytical roadmap - translate commercial questions from across the business into work that gets used. Push back on requests that won't move the number; protect team capacity for work that will
- Steward the existing data infrastructure - maintain and evolve our dbt models, Snowflake warehouse, and Databricks workflows. Ensure pipelines are reliable, well-documented, and trusted by the business. Partner with central data engineering on platform-level changes
- Be a senior thought partner to the UK senior leadership team – sit alongside business leaders, not behind them. Bring a point of view on commercial trade-offs grounded in data
- Raise the bar on rigour and impact – coach analysts on the right level of statistical rigour for the decision in front of them, on writing for executive audiences, and on holding their ground commercially
