Goose Live Events is an award-winning Surrey based events agency. For over 20 years we have delivered global experiences for corporate clients such as AstraZeneca and Bentley Motors, as well as large scale public and educational events like the Silverstone Festival and Formula Student.
This is a great opportunity to work within our growing corporate events team, due to new client acquisition and growth of our existing accounts. It will be a varied and fast-moving operations role, building great relationships with all stakeholders, tempered with a structured task list and support and guidance from our team.
Your key responsibilities and tasks will include:
- assisting with research for new business pitches and tenders
- venue research and arranging site visits
- assisting the project teams in establishing safe and sustainable operations and infrastructure plans
- liaising with and managing relationships with suppliers
- guest management – creating and updating registration systems and fulfilment
- managing staff and crew logistics
- gathering data and assisting with the calculation of carbon emissions
- using various internal systems, creating presentations and general event admin support
- onsite support where required
Key skills required:
- previous experience preferred in a Project Assistant or Co-ordinator role within the events industry
- great interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
- numeracy skills for assisting with event budgets
- IT literacy with experience of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote, Planner, Teams) and a desire to explore and learn new AI tools
- driving licence preferred
- Cvent experience would be great but not essential
You will enjoy working as part of a team but equally be a driven self-starter and able to manage your time effectively. Attention to detail is key, as is a calm and flexible approach to building relationships. This is a great opportunity to join our team and work with passionate event professionals, helping us drive our sustainable event solutions.
We have a flexible working approach so you will be able to work remotely at times but you will be expected in the office regularly so a commutable distance to our office in Surrey is essential. You will also be required to be onsite for key events across the year, both in the UK and abroad, so the ability to travel internationally is essential.
Salary band: £28,000 - £30,000, negotiable, subject to experience. Our package includes 25 days holiday entitlement, health cash plan and contributory pension scheme.
