We are seeking a talented and motivated Pastry Sous Chef to join the team at Seventy Five at Liberty, a Two Rosette, award-winning restaurant located within one of London\’s most iconic department stores. Our menus showcase modern British cuisine, with a strong focus on sustainability and locally sourced produce, served in a vibrant and stylish setting.
This freelance role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, creative kitchen at one of London\’s most exciting dining destinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the pastry section, overseeing the preparation and service of all desserts, pastries, and baked goods
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team to design and refine seasonal menus, specials, and bespoke creations
- Uphold exceptional standards of quality, presentation, and consistency across all pastry items
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and allergen regulations
- Manage pastry stock, ordering, rotation, and waste control
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a positive and professional working culture
- Oversee the care and maintenance of pastry equipment
About You
- Experienced Pastry Chef with a strong background in high-quality, high-volume restaurants
- Passionate about patisserie, desserts, and modern British cuisine
- Highly organised, with excellent time management and the ability to thrive under pressure
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures
- Flexible, reliable, and collaborative, with a genuine team-oriented approach

Pay: £18.00-£20.00 per hour
