Goose + Berry is an award-winning catering and events group specialising in weddings, corporate occasions and private celebrations across Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and beyond. As the group continues to grow, we are pleased to offer an exciting and varied opportunity for an Operations Manager to support both our events division and our London restaurant. This is a pivotal role within the business, working closely with the Managing Director and supporting operational delivery across multiple sites. You will collaborate with both the events catering team and restaurant teams to strengthen processes, improve efficiency and ensure consistently high standards across the group.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Managing Director with day-to-day operational decision-making
- Deliver operational support across events and restaurant sites in Berkshire and London
- Act as the group Health & Safety representative and attend relevant meetings
- Improve operational efficiency, systems and financial performance across the business
- Oversee logistics, transport planning, equipment and stock control
- Support recruitment, onboarding and staff training
- Act as a key operational contact for the Restaurant General Manager and Head of Events
- Manage supplier relationships and oversee costings, budgets and margins
- Support business development, site visits and growth initiatives
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, health and safety and licensing requirements
- Regular travel to our Central London office
Skills and Experience Required
- Proven experience in a similar operational leadership role within hospitality or events
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in representing the business externally
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required
- Willingness to travel regularly to the London office and event locations
- Full UK driving licence
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work across multiple departments
