Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, EHS, Architecture, Construction management, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with construction planning of industrial-scale, hi-tech projects.
  • 5 years of experience in Technical Program Management.
  • 2 years of experience working at colocation facilities or networking infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 years of work experience with data center design and construction.
  • 5 years of experience in infrastructure design and engineering, preferably with data centers.
  • Experience in building construction management and working on evaluating data center infrastructure and designing cages and associated infrastructure.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a data-driven investigative approach to solve challenges.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You’re equally comfortable explaining your team’s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Network Infrastructure Engineering is responsible for the evaluation, design, and construction of Google’s network space in facilities across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager, you will evaluate, plan, design, cost, and build new facilities and expand the infrastructure supporting the network.

Responsibilities

  • Review and understand Google network architecture standards.
  • Draft statement of works for Design and Engineering Drawing Sets.
  • Review proposals, costs, and submittals related to new build projects. Negotiate and execute agreements to kick off construction projects.
  • Create high-level project plans that identify resource needs and critical path.
  • Communicate with partners along with internal business owners to collect drivers and deadlines for delivering colocation space and associated infrastructure.
