Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience coding in Go, Java, Python, C, and C++.
• 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
• 5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
• 5 years of experience with Distributed Storage.

Preferred qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
• 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
• Experience working in networking.
• Experience with Kubernetes networking principles, managing and troubleshooting network configurations in production Kubernetes environments.

In this role, you will deliver Block and File Storage for Google Distributed Cloud - the platform for GEMINI on-premises. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Drive the overall technical charter for the team.
• Understand customer deployments, use-cases and ensuring the architecture road map aligns well with their requirements.
• Drive road map conversations with program manager and help prioritize the technical charter for the team.
• Work with the team to ensure a sound development process and projects have well defined outcomes.
• Mentor and grow engineers and build a good working relationship with the Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) leadership.
