Senior UX Designer, Resource Reservation Protocol

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
• Experience in visual design principles (layout, typography, color theory).
• Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).

Preferred qualifications

• Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
• 2 years of experience leading design projects.
• Experience working in a UX team and a product design environment in close collaboration with design, research, product management and engineering as part of the product development process.
• Ability to demonstrate command of interaction and visual design.

Global Business and Operations (GBO) Engineering is an embedded product and engineering team within Google’s Ad sales organization. We build consumer-grade internal tooling for sales, marketing and service teams. User experience is at the forefront of how we create intuitive, innovative, and beautiful products that people love. We strive to learn and understand our users’ needs, behaviors, and emotions to gather insights that inform product strategy and design. Our UX teams include designers, researchers, content strategists, and engineers who are passionate about quality, usability, and simplicity. We work on collaborative teams to solve complex challenges and craft experiences that highlight our products’ unique capabilities and personalities. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, and provide creative, thoughtful solutions.
• Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, or high fidelity prototypes.
• Integrate user feedback and business requirements into ongoing product experience updates.
• Advocate for the prioritization of design centered changes, refinements, and improvements.
• Develop resources such as design systems documentation and guidelines to help scale the design function.
