About the job:

In this role, you will be a highly accomplished and visionary Strategic Leader, ultimate custodian of the London Campus brand, responsible for holding the "red thread" of the building's narrative. You will bridge the gap between a high-stakes corporate workplace and a vibrant public destination, integrating Google's newest campus into the heart of the King's Cross community. You will transform our service delivery from vendor silos into a unified "One Team" alliance. Your work will ensure that the Googlers and GDM staff feel a deep sense of pride and support from day one, while creating a groundbreaking hub for the public understanding of AI.

The Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) team creates inspiring spaces and innovative services that bring Google’s culture and values to life. We build and maintain all aspects of what keeps our Googley workspaces operating seamlessly across multiple cities and regions globally. We also manage the industry-leading services that help make Google a great place to work -- from how we design healthy and collaborative workspaces, create energizing food experiences, provide convenient transportation and fitness options, to delivering environments where Google and our employees can grow.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent Workplace Services to end users by partnering with Googlers to deeply understand their needs and deliver the right solutions, while influencing customers, clients and internal organisations to reach consensus and compromise when needed.
  • Partner with stakeholders as a trusted advisor to enhance the employee experience, effectively communicating REWS mission and strategies to executive management through timely, relevant, thorough, and tailored communication across a matrixed organization.
  • Lead the implementation of hospitality strategy, shifting operations to a "One Team" approach with cross-trained professionals and zero-gap handovers between vendors across the London campus.
  • Serve as the campus-wide custodian, ensuring consistent storytelling across all London sites, translating high-level narratives into actionable design and operational parameters, and acting as the creative mediator between business, REWS and GDM.
