Technical Program Manager, Data Center Construction in London

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial, construction engineering, construction management or related technical field.
• 5 years of experience in construction program management.
• Experience with commercial agreement management and procurement.
• Experience in data center program management and data center technology.

Preferred qualifications

• 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• Experience managing vendor relationships, with an understanding of standard practices in the design and construction industry.
• Experience working with data center equipment/environments (including switchgear, generators, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, controls, security monitoring systems, fire safety systems), with an understanding of start up/commissioning processes.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage a large, site-wide data center construction and delivery organization, managing scopes related to construction projects or capital improvement projects.
• Be responsible for ensuring the development of detailed designs, managing construction (i.e., delivery, cost, quality and EHS), commissioning, close-out and hand-off to the operations team. Ensure all customer requirements are being met.
• Establish and maintain various delivery models and global relationships with multiple vendors.
• Create a growth plan and be involved in hiring/recruiting talent in the areas of project management, field engineering, document control, technical writing, etc.
• Research and implement construction means and methods of data center equipment and facilities. Carry design concepts into mass production and integrate into facilities.
