Overview
As a Program Manager for the Google Arts & Culture Lab, you will lead complex, high-impact cultural programs that apply AI and advanced tech to support artists, creative technologists, and global cultural partners. You’ll manage the full project lifecycle—from concept to launch—aligning goals and timelines with cross-functional teams, and mitigating risks. You’ll apply Google’s process best practices to accelerate experiments and operations, while navigating governance, privacy, and compliance frameworks. This role focuses on coordinating international programs, fostering collaboration across internal and external stakeholders, and driving visible, value-driven cultural initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex cultural programs from concept through launch for GAC Lab
- Define program goals, timelines, deliverables, and risk mitigation plans
- Apply Google process best practices and internal tools to drive experiment velocity and operational efficiency
- Foster alignment across stakeholders including Product, Research Areas, artists, and cultural institutions
- Manage cross-team collaborations with localized GAC teams and international partners
- Navigate GenAI governance, Responsible AI evaluations, legal compliance, and privacy processes
- Drive initiatives that showcase AI collaborations and experiments to the broader cultural ecosystem
Key requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of program or project management experience in arts, culture, creative technology, or cultural innovation
- Experience leading cultural programs from concept to launch with cross-functional stakeholders, timelines, risks, and deliverables
- Experience collaborating with artists and cultural institutions on programs involving emerging technologies
- Experience delivering international programs across multiple countries or markets and managing global external partnerships
