As an Industry Manager, you will lead on one of the Retail team’s most sophisticated and significant customers. You will leverage your understanding of the retail industry and Google’s advertising solutions to help this client achieve their business objectives and drive meaningful growth. You need extensive experience with performance and brand solutions, a developed understanding of the competitive landscape, and exceptional influencing skills to navigate a large business with a range of stakeholders.

Google’s Large Customer Sales (LCS) teams are strategic partners and industry thought leaders to the world’s leading brands and agencies. We continuously challenge how customers think about their business and how Google can support growth, selling Google’s full suite of advertising solutions across Search, YouTube, Measurement, and more.

Responsibilities
  • Build and manage relationships with C‑level clients and executive partner stakeholders, developing a comprehensive understanding of their business challenges, marketing objectives, and success metrics.
  • Structure a clear, long‑term joint strategy between Google and clients, and lead a cross‑functional team within Google to collaborate on projects and drive client success.
  • Plan for and achieve growth goals by presenting Google advertising products and solutions that help clients meet their marketing objectives.
  • Develop forward‑thinking, data‑driven analyses and consultative recommendations that align with customer goals, and quantify opportunities with clear recommendations to present to customers.
  • Build an in‑depth knowledge of how Google Advertising products work and can be used to meet a wide range of marketing objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of industry experience in digital advertising, consultative sales, business development, or digital marketing, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience working with media and marketing measurement solutions and approaches, including Media Mix Modelling, incrementality studies, and brand measurement.
  • Experience collaborating with media agencies across various departments, including communications planning and strategy, AV, and digital teams.
  • Experience building relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., internal teams) and external partners (e.g., agencies, clients).
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6 years of experience managing relationships with customers or agencies and service partners at an executive level.
  • 2 years of experience working in a cross‑functional organization.
  • Experience in media sales or brand management.
  • Experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience influencing executive‑level clients and stakeholders and driving results in complex, agile environments.
