About The Job

Google's projects span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while diving into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle, managing project schedules, identifying risks, and clearly communicating them to stakeholders. You are equally comfortable explaining analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing technical trade-offs with engineers.

You manage various engineering-specific programs and teams across the Fiber Infrastructure Engineering and Delivery organization, a unified group within Google Global Infrastructure that integrates capacity infrastructure, network infrastructure, and fiber delivery expertise. The mission is to deliver resilient long‑haul and metro fiber assets and data center network space that power Google's global growth and AI leadership. In this role, you will travel approximately 25% of the time, mainly to Google data centers worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Orchestrate program strategy across EMEA and APAC to drive consistency and economies of scale, strengthening alignment between technical requirements and business objectives.
  • Define requirements for the Google Global Network, designing data center infrastructure (space, power, cooling) and deploying new products globally.
  • Manage complex relationships globally, influencing and collaborating with design engineering firms, carriers, internal engineering teams, and executives to solve large-scale network growth challenges.
  • Establish systems to identify and implement innovative solutions that optimize project delivery, managing risks and driving improvements in lead‑time, predictability, and cost‑effectiveness.
