Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in technical sales engineering or software engineering with cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience architecting, training, or deploying machine learning models and managing AI/ML infrastructure.
  • Experience working with the early-stage startup ecosystem, including founders, venture firms, or accelerators.

Preferred qualifications

  • Direct experience as a startup Founder, Co-Founder, or Chief Technology Officer (CTO) who has successfully built, scaled, and navigated a technical venture through early-stage growth, venture funding, or acquisition.
  • Experience contributing to the developer community through open-source contributions, technical publications, or speaking at industry conferences in the field of AI/ML.
  • Deep expertise in AI/ML, specifically with large language models (LLMs) and generative AI applications.
  • Ability to communicate in English and French fluently to communicate in this customer-facing sales role.
  • A leader with a track record of working in complex, highly-matrixed, cross-functional environments across countries and cultures.

Responsibilities

  • Engage, onboard, and provide technical advisory to high‑potential founders.
  • Expand our presence in key European technology hubs by designing and leading advanced technical workshops, presenting keynotes at premier developer events, and maintaining a strong professional standing on public developer platforms.
  • Act as point of contact for founders to navigate Google’s broader ecosystem, securing custom resource allocations and bypassing typical operational friction. Validate architectures, and build technical prototypes or demonstrations of advanced AI capabilities.
  • Partner closely with Venture Ecosystem teams to lead technical workshops and scale adoption. Coordinate with regional sales and engineering teams to transition accounts.
  • Act as the liaison between startup founders and internal product, engineering, and research teams. Gather, synthesize, and advocate for critical technical requirements and product gaps, directly influencing our long‑term hardware, software, and AI product roadmaps.
