In this role, you will make safety a top priority and bring long-lasting value to the entire life-cycle of data center builds in order to create an environment for all workers to return home safely. You will foster an EHS culture by establishing clear expectations, open communication, the engagement of all workers, safe work behaviors, and continual improvement. You will build and resource a program that touches every worker that comes on our sites and continues to live on with them at home and throughout their careers.
The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are a diverse, upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and ownership of the Environmental, Health and Safety Construction (EHS) program for area construction oversight and data collection.
- Ensure that contractors deliver on program safety performance expectations and agreement requirements providing solutions to issues.
- Monitor, advise and assist the construction project teams to protect people, environment and ensure compliance.
- Drive a culture that embraces a continuous learning approach and aligns with organizational strategies including goals and objectives.
- Liaise with the Construction EHS Team to ensure best practices are completely implemented, progress reported, trends and data captured, analyzed and risks mitigated to an acceptable level ensuring that the operational capacity of a live Data Center is not compromised.
