About the job

A problem isn't truly solved until it's solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You’re equally comfortable explaining your team’s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this role, you will own and drive projects for the EMEA Network Acquisitions (GNA) Planning team. You will be involved in data-driven analysis to develop overall Network Topology plans, compiling technical requirements for network assets such as fibre and leased wavelengths in order to meet forecast demand, while complying with Network Architecture guidelines. You will be expected to optimize Google’s Production Network for scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency while maintaining the ability to meet new product roll-outs in a timely manner.

The AI and Infrastructure team is redefining what’s possible. We empower Google customers with breakthrough capabilities and insights by delivering AI and Infrastructure at unparalleled scale, efficiency, reliability and velocity. Responsibilities

  • Drive EMEA Network Planning activities for asset and infrastructure planning to support demand forecasts over time.
  • Manage repeatable and transparent planning pipelines.
  • Ingest, analyze, understand, and rationalize demand forecasts for all EMEA related flows. Translate demand forecasts into regional capacity plans over time, taking into account market trends and technology changes to ensure the most optimized and cost effective network solution, translating this to asset/infrastructure requirements.
  • Own and deliver in-depth technical risk assessments based on various what-if analysis to ensure the best technical solution is planned for across the network.
  • Partner with internal business and technical stakeholders to define network requirements, lead infrastructure initiatives across EMEA, and optimize cross-functional processes to ensure the timely, cost-effective delivery of network capacity.
