Responsibilities
- Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) of space and power management for colocation environments.
- Evaluate colocation facilities to ensure they meet internal reliability requirements.
- Review and understand Google's Network Architecture Standards.
- Communicate with partners along with internal business owners to collect drivers and deadlines for delivering colocation space and associated infrastructure.
- Draft Statement Of Work (SOW) design/Engineering Drawing Sets.
- Design spaces that meet current needs while maintaining flexibility for the future.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in data center colocation infrastructure management/planning.
- Experience with AutoCAD drafting.
- Experience with electrical or mechanical engineering in a data center environment.
- Experience with construction project management.
Preferred qualifications
- 5 years of experience in an industry setting.
- Experience evaluating data center infrastructure and designing cages and associated infrastructure.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking and prioritisation skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent financial and communication skills with data-motivated investigative approach to solve tests.
