Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) of space and power management for colocation environments. Evaluate colocation facilities to ensure they meet internal reliability requirements.

Review and understand Google's Network Architecture Standards. Communicate with partners along with internal business owners to collect drivers and deadlines for delivering colocation space and associated infrastructure. Draft Statement Of Work (SOW) design/Engineering Drawing Sets. Design spaces that meet current needs while maintaining flexibility for the future.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in data center colocation infrastructure management/planning.
  • Experience with AutoCAD drafting.
  • Experience with electrical or mechanical engineering in a data center environment.
  • Experience with construction project management.

Preferred qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in an industry setting.
  • Experience evaluating data center infrastructure and designing cages and associated infrastructure.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking and prioritisation skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent financial and communication skills with data-motivated investigative approach to solve tests.
