Minimum Qualifications

  • PhD in Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with Python and neural network training.
  • One or more scientific publication submissions for conferences, journals, or public repositories (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, EMNLP).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Large Language Model (LLM) pretraining, post-training, and inference using multilingual data.
  • Experience in innovating on any aspect of LLM design and development to enhance multilingual, cross-lingual, or multicultural capabilities.
  • Experience collecting human data for model evaluation.
  • Experience considering the implications of new developments in the field of LLMs and LLM-powered agents for a global user base, and a desire to build pioneering language technology to inform, delight, and empower all users.
  • Ability to design and implement novel evaluations and perform statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Solve new problems/improve performance of existing models, (e.g., improving or evaluating the capabilities of models, or measuring outcomes).
  • Develop technical solutions to test these ideas and assess performance.
  • Communicate research findings and technical ideas verbally and in writing.
  • Contribute to team collaborations to meet research goals.
