The Gemini App UX team is instrumental in building Google's universal assistant that people around the world use to collaborate with generative AI to fuel their imagination, expand their curiosity, and enhance their productivity. As a Senior UX Program Manager, you will be the connective tissue for the Gemini App UX team. You will partner with senior leaders to drive user focus, streamline operations, and elevate the quality of our user experience.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Architect and Scale Operations: Design, implement, and refine the repeatable processes and frameworks that enable our UX team to deliver bold, high-quality work at lightning speed.
  • Drive Cross Functional Alignment: Serve as the central point of contact for UX, orchestrating alignment on priorities, roadmaps, and resource allocation with key partners in Product, Engineering, Research, and Trust & Safety.
  • Lead Resource and Capacity Planning: Partner with UX discipline leads to forecast, plan, and allocate team capacity, ensuring we are always focused on the most critical user and business goals.
  • Eliminate Blockers and Gaps: Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks in our processes, tools, and cross-functional communication, empowering the team to focus on impactful design and research.
  • Champion Team Health and Culture: Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive team culture through well-planned strategic off-sites, workshops, and communication initiatives.
  • Own High-Impact Programs: Demonstrate deep ownership in scoping, planning, and delivering complex programs that elevate our UX craft, workflow, and the quality of the end-to-end user experience.

We are looking for a seasoned leader with a passion for user experience, a proven track record of operational excellence, and a relentless curiosity to understand the emerging ways people use generative AI.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in Program Management within a UX, design, or product development organization.
  • Deep experience working directly with and understanding the needs of UX disciplines (e.g., Interaction Design, UX Research, Content Strategy, UX Engineering).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience leading complex strategic and operational initiatives for large-scale product teams.
  • A proven track record of building and scaling UX operations in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and rapidly evolving environment (such as a startup or a v1 product).
  • Mastery of resource planning, and project and data management, with an ability to turn insights into actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in environments focused on AI, machine learning, or other emerging technologies is a significant plus.
