To be eligible to apply for this position, you must be located within the Midlands region of the UK and hold a valid UK driving licence. This is a field-based role.

Primary Purpose of the Position

As a Sales Representative for Motorcycle UK, you will be responsible for:

  • The development of the sale of Goodyear products and services to customers in the defined area of responsibility (territory/product/channel).
  • Identifying, analysing and raising the customer potential.
  • Achieving sales and profit objectives for all Goodyear brands/product range/services in the assigned area of responsibility in line with company goals and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets.
  • The establishment and development of productive long-term customer relationships.
  • Providing consulting related support, development and expansion of customers within the assigned area of responsibility.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Search for and open new customers and end-users, like commercial fleets, acting as a business consultant, building lasting productive relationships.
  • Support and advise existing customers in a consulting approach with respect to inventory/planning, product range, market development, fleet approach and pricing.
  • Implementation of sales targets for each customer, product mix and gross profit mix optimization.
  • Defining measures to increase the Share of Market (SoM) for the respective channel and the Share of Brand (SoB) for Goodyear brands.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of regional marketing concepts as well as consulting approaches to implement overall channel strategy.
  • Coordination and implementation of sales promotion and brand promotion activities.
  • Control and tracking of all activities, measures and contacts as well as a written documented performance review.
  • Support the Sales Manager to monitor the sales performance of the assigned area vs sales targets.
  • Communicate short term deviations from targets towards the sales manager.
  • Report regularly and comprehensively about the business situation and development.
  • Act as first point of contact for other Sales Reps for advice and guidance.
  • Support colleagues in sales techniques and skills, product and technical skills.

To join our team, you will need:

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in a technical/commercial field.
  • Experience: 2-5 years sales experience in a similar role and industry or consulting business.
  • Experience in customer relationship management.
  • Motorcycle business knowledge and a passion for motorsport is advantageous.
