Role Purpose

To provide day-to-day administrative and coordination support for all transport activities across Goodwins Auto Salvage LTD (GAS). This role ensures jobs are created accurately, drivers are briefed and supported, customers receive timely updates, and the job flow remains clean, organised, and up to date. The Transport Administrator also supports vehicle compliance by ensuring all GAS vehicles are taxed, MOT’d, and legally roadworthy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create transport jobs, enter and maintain accurate job details
  • Prioritise jobs based on urgency, location, and customer requirements
  • Ensure all required information is captured before dispatch
  • Communicate job details clearly to drivers and support drivers with queries, issues, or missing information
  • Chase ETAs and update the system accordingly
  • Respond to customer queries professionally and promptly
  • Maintain clean, accurate job records and ensure all documentation is attached

Vehicle Compliance Responsibilities

  • Monitor MOT expiry dates for all GAS vehicles and ensure renewals are completed on time
  • Check road tax status and ensure all vehicles remain legally taxed
  • Maintain a simple compliance tracker for MOT, tax, insurance, and any required documentation

Skills & Experience Required

  • 2+ years in logistics, transport, customer service, or operations admin
  • Strong communication skills with drivers, customers, and partners
  • Confident on the phone and able to handle busy periods calmly
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
  • Comfortable using digital systems
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently

Hours & Salary

Full-time, Monday–Friday
Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 depending on experience
