We are currently seeking out talented and dedicated chefs to create nutritious and delicious meals for residents in care home settings, while maintaining high kitchen standards at all times.
Company Name: Goodwill Healthcare Services Limited Location: York, Leeds Position Type: Zero Hours Contract (Temporary) Hourly Rate: £16.00 – £24.00 Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook high-quality, nutritious meals that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of residents.
Develop and create diverse menus that are both appealing and balanced, taking into account special dietary requirements within the allocated budget.
Maintain a high level of food hygiene standards at all times.
Work collaboratively with the care home staff to accommodate special meal requests and dietary restrictions.
Manage food inventory and order supplies as needed, maintaining cost efficiency without compromising on quality.
Manage and oversee kitchen staff.
Maintain accurate records of food temperatures, storage, and waste management.
Candidate Requirements: Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a kitchen setting, preferably in a care home, healthcare, or similar setting; however, this is not essential.
Must have the right to work (RTW) in the UK; unfortunately, we do not offer sponsorship.
Strong understanding of nutrition, dietary needs, and food safety standards.
Ability to adjust and use own initiative in different settings.
Excellent cooking skills and creativity in menu planning.
Must be flexible to cover last-minute shift requests and different homes.
Ability to manage and plan a kitchen rota.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
