As a Solution Engineer for UK & Ireland, you will support our customers in all technical pre-sale activities. You will conduct customer training sessions both face-to-face and online, advise customers on the appropriate GoodWe solutions, and represent GoodWe at exhibitions and local events. A typical day for a Solution Engineer at GoodWe Europe includes direct interactions with our key distribution or EPC partners (e.g., in training activities and presentations), and interfacing with our sales, marketing, and product management teams. This position offers deep technical involvement and the joy of being close to the market and customers. You will play a key role in driving GoodWe’s sales growth and maintaining customer loyalty.
Your main responsibilities
- Supporting and managing GoodWe’s pre-sales activities in UK & Ireland.
- Growing customer trust in GoodWe’s solution.
- Promoting GoodWe’s products and increasing the demand from installers to our distributors.
- Ensuring GoodWe’s closeness to the market through customer trainings and distributor events.
- Building up the full knowledge of market requirements for PV and storage systems including product specifications, system design requirements, certification requirements, etc.
- Transferring market requirements to product management and R&D to make sure GoodWe remains ahead of competition.
- Ensure feasibility of product solutions before market release, including coordinating and assisting with Beta testing and pilot projects.
Your Profile
- A technical background such as a bachelor’s in electrical engineering or similar.
- Previous work experience in technical support with direct customer interaction is a plus.
- Business fluent in English and other language might be a plus.
- Exposure to solar, PV, inverter, energy storage, or utility industry is a plus.
- Passion for growth and renewable energies.
- Strong communication skills. Ability to explain complex topics in easy words.
- Analytical mindset.
- Ability to have business travel (30 % of the time).
