If you’ve been looking to join a fast-growing startup with a bold vision of a world where doing good is built into everything we do, then you’ve found the right place! Backed by General Catalyst, we’re one of Europe’s fastest-growing SaaS companies – building the technology that enables global enterprises to give, volunteer, and fund with confidence.

Our mission at Goodstack is to revolutionize how the world does good. As a Series A social impact startup, we power global change through technology. We enable companies to seamlessly integrate positive impact into what they do through a unified platform while supporting nonprofits in gaining access to cutting-edge technology and finding new funding streams.

Global brands, including Google, OpenAI, TikTok, LinkedIn, HSBC, Atlassian and Twilio - as well as thousands of nonprofits, including the Red Cross, Cancer Research, and Oxfam - use Goodstack to make a difference. In 2025 alone, we have facilitated $5 billion in donations to good causes. But this is just the beginning. We’re building the world’s leading platform that powers donations to nonprofits globally.

To keep our momentum and deliver consistently high value to our partners, we need incredible people to help us on our journey – we need you!

Join us as Data Lead to help thousands of Nonprofits get access to funding! We’re looking for an exceptionally detailed, hands-on, technical, process-driven Data Lead to architect and lead our data function through a period of critical growth.

In this role, you’ll play a central part in shaping how data is used across the company, setting the strategic direction, building the team, and enabling every function to make better decisions through data. There will also be plenty of technical work to get stuck into day to day, while managing others. You’ll oversee the hiring and development of a small but high-impact team, establish core data infrastructure and processes, and work closely with leadership to ensure that insights and evidence flow into everything we do.

If you have a background building data team structures, enjoy facilitating comms across the board and want to work for a company making a hugely positive societal impact, this could be the perfect role for you!

As the Data Lead at Goodstack, your mission will be to:

  • Build a high-impact data function that empowers every team to make smarter decisions and discover new growth opportunities. In the short term, assess and stabilise current tools and workflows. Long term, develop a scalable data strategy, hire a strong team, and become a trusted advisor to leadership.
  • Assess and strategise: Audit the current data stack (dbt, Snowflake), identify reliability risks, and define a scalable data strategy aligned to business goals.
  • Deliver insights: Build reliable reporting and dashboards that drive decision-making. Reduce reactive work by improving foundational systems.
  • Partner cross-functionally: Work closely with Product, RevOps, Operations, and leadership to translate business questions into data solutions and support goal-setting with clear KPIs and OKRs.
  • Own infrastructure: Maintain and evolve our data warehouse, pipelines, and analytics tools to improve accessibility and trust.
  • Build the team: Define the structure of the data team over time. Hire and lead a small, hands-on team across data engineering, analytics, and planning.
  • Drive culture: Champion a company-wide data culture where insights are trusted, proactive, and core to planning.

After 3 months, success will look like:

  • Mapped current systems and risks.
  • Identified pain points from over-stretched resources.
  • Reduced firefighting by stabilising dashboards and workflows.
  • Set the direction for a more analytical, less reactive data function.

Success beyond 3 months:

  • Clear structure and roadmap for long-term sustainability.
  • Increased trust in data and reduced ad-hoc demand.
  • More predictable, structured delivery of data requests.

This role is a perfect match for you if you have:

  • Experience in building data functions at fast-growing companies (7+ years).
  • Skilled in modern data tools (dbt, airflow, looker, snowflake, databricks), SQL, and Python or Typescript.
  • Strategic thinker who’s hands-on when needed.
  • Strong communicator who can influence with data.
  • Proven team builder with a bias for impact.

Bonus if you have knowledge or love of:

  • Passion for product instrumentation or customer-facing analytics.
  • Exposure to ML/AI or interest in its thoughtful application.

  • Salary reviews and share options becoming an integral part of our growth and share in the company's success.
  • Goodstack’s Workplace Giving.
  • Vitality Plus - Private health insurance.
