We are seeking a highly driven, ambitious, and technically capable Domestic Construction Project Manager to play a key role in delivering low-carbon retrofit and energy-efficiency solutions for domestic buildings. Established in 2018 and on an ambitious growth trajectory, the business is committed to supporting the UK's Net Zero Carbon targets for buildings by 2050. Based in Wilmslow town centre, you will be an integral part of a friendly and dynamic design-and-build contractor, supporting the continued growth of the business through the successful delivery of domestic construction and retrofit projects.

The role focuses on managing projects within existing buildings, including whole-house retrofits, extensions, loft conversions, and commercial-to-residential conversions. This is a hands-on, ownership-focused role that leads the delivery of PAS 2035-compliant retrofit projects. You will coordinate technical teams and installers, work closely with clients and residents, and ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly and to a high standard. Projects typically involve domestic properties across social housing portfolios, the private rented sector, and owner-occupied homes, with measures including structural works, fabric improvements, low-carbon heating, ventilation, and renewable technologies, delivered through a whole-house approach. High-quality project delivery and documentation are central to the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering domestic retrofit projects in line with PAS 2035 requirements
  • Managing projects from post-assessment and design coordination through installation and final handover
  • Coordinating works between Retrofit Coordinators, Designers and PAS 2030-certified installers
  • Supporting the retrofit design process and technical teams
  • Supporting the construction and installation phases of retrofit projects
  • Managing project programme, quality assurance and resident liaison
  • Ensuring compliance with PAS 2030, PAS 2035 and MCS standards
  • Overseeing installer performance, inspections and quality checks
  • Maintaining accurate records to ensure audit and compliance readiness
  • Supporting grant and funding compliance requirements
  • Managing snagging, defects and post-installation issues
  • Ensuring Health & Safety compliance across domestic sites
  • Preparing project progress, quality and compliance reports

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience delivering domestic retrofit or energy efficiency projects
  • Strong working knowledge of PAS 2035 requirements
  • Experience working with PAS 2030-certified installers
  • Familiarity with MCS-certified technologies
  • Experience working in occupied domestic properties
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance and audit readiness
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • Retrofit-related qualification or coordinator exposure
  • Experience delivering government-funded retrofit schemes
  • Understanding of domestic building fabric and ventilation strategies

  • Base Salary £40,000 to £55,000 (Depending on Experience)
