Field Care Supervisor / Senior Carer in Slough

Slough Full-Time No working from home possible
G

GoodOaks Homecare is an award-winning, Top 20 home care provider, and we're known for supporting people properly, both the clients we care for and the people who work with us. We help people carry on living well in the homes they love, through high-quality visiting care and live-in care.

We're looking for a Field Care Supervisor to join our Maidenhead and Windsor branch, covering Maidenhead, Windsor, Slough, Taplow, Eton and the surrounding area.

Being straight about it, this is mostly a hands-on role. Around 75% of your week is delivering care calls with a regular caseload of your own, and around 25% is supervisory work. We opened in September 2025, so this is still a young branch and you'll need to be happy to roll your sleeves up, helping build the service rather than stepping into something that's already up and running. As the branch grows, the supervisory side grows with it, towards a 50/50 split and on to Care Coordinator.

Whether you're an experienced Senior Carer, Care Supervisor or Field Care Supervisor, or an experienced carer ready to take the next step, we'd love to hear from you.

What the role involves

  • Delivering care calls across the Maidenhead and Windsor patch, with a regular caseload of your own

  • Covering gaps, sickness and short-notice changes

  • Carrying out carer supervisions and spot checks

  • Reviewing care plans and keeping them accurate and up to date

  • Carrying out client assessments alongside the Registered Manager

  • Supporting the rota

  • Taking part in the on-call rota, one week in two, with an additional payment. Any visits you cover while on call are paid at your hourly rate on top

What we're looking for

  • Experience in domiciliary care

  • A Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, or a willingness to work towards it. We'll support you

  • Passionate about high-quality, person-centred home care

  • Confident supporting and coaching other carers

  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle. This is essential

  • The right to work in the UK. We're not able to offer sponsorship

  • Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check to work with vulnerable adults

What you can expect from us

  • £28,000 to £29,000 a year depending on experience, with regular salary reviews

  • Paid on-call at £10 per weeknight and £25 per weekend day, around £2,600 a year on a one-week-in-two rota

  • 45p per mile between visits

  • Guaranteed full-time hours, 37.5 a week

  • Funded qualifications, including Level 3 and Level 5

  • A clear route to Care Coordinator as the branch grows

  • Paid induction, ongoing training and a paid enhanced DBS check

  • GoodOaks Virtual GP for you and your family, with online appointments at no additional cost, 365 days a year

  • Company pension, Blue Light Card and volunteer days

  • The support of the wider GoodOaks team and the backing of the UK's only carbon-neutral care franchise

A role you can build a future in

This is a step up rather than a sideways move. You keep the client contact that made you want to do this job in the first place, and you start taking on the supervisory work that leads to running a service. Our Director comes from a clinical background and genuinely cares about providing a great service, and as the branch grows, so does the role.

GoodOaks Homecare Maidenhead and Windsor is committed to safe recruitment and to protecting the adults we support. This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.

We're interviewing now and can offer a quick, friendly recruitment process for successful applicants.
