GoodOaks Homecare Bedford is looking for an experienced and ambitious Registered Manager to lead our established homecare service and help us through the next stage of our growth. We have built a strong reputation in Bedford for delivering high-quality, personalised care and are proud to be part of the award-winning GoodOaks Homecare network.

This isn't a turnaround role. You'll be joining an established service with an experienced team, a strong local reputation and an engaged Director who wants to invest in the continued growth of the business. We are passionate about enabling people to remain safely and happily in the homes they love, providing outstanding visiting care and live-in care that is genuinely person-centred.

For the right Registered Manager, this is an opportunity to take real ownership of a successful service, develop your team and play a significant role in shaping where the business goes next.

What will you do?

  • Take responsibility for the quality and operational leadership of the service while working closely with the Director to develop and grow the business.
  • Take accountability for the safe and effective running of the service and maintaining CQC compliance.
  • Act as the CQC Registered Manager for the service.
  • Lead, support and develop the care and office teams.
  • Maintain and continually improve our high standards of person-centred care.
  • Undertake client consultations, care assessments, care planning and onboarding new clients.
  • Ensure care plans and risk assessments remain accurate, effective and up to date.
  • Manage feedback, concerns and complaints positively and use them to continually improve the service.
  • Support effective recruitment, induction, supervision and development of team members.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, families, professionals and other local stakeholders.
  • Develop relationships and networks across Bedford and the surrounding area.
  • Work alongside the Director to identify opportunities to grow both our visiting care and live-in care services.
  • Help us build on the strong reputation we have already established locally.

Who are we looking for?

  • An experienced leader or manager within health and social care, preferably within domiciliary/homecare.
  • Experienced in working within a CQC-regulated environment.
  • Knowledgeable about the regulatory and legislative requirements governing adult social care.
  • Passionate about delivering genuinely person-centred, high-quality care.
  • A confident leader who can motivate, develop and inspire a team.
  • Comfortable taking responsibility and making decisions.
  • Participating in the out-of-hours on-call rota, shared across the management team, with additional payment for on-call duties.
  • Commercially aware and interested in helping a successful service grow.
  • Confident building relationships with clients, families and professional stakeholders.
  • Positive, resilient and proactive.
  • An excellent communicator with strong organisational skills.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and adapt to the changing needs of the service.
  • Willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
  • A holder of a valid UK driving licence with access to a car.
  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or equivalent qualification, would be highly desirable.

Why join GoodOaks Bedford?

This is an opportunity to join a business that has already built a strong reputation but still has significant potential for further growth. You'll work closely with an engaged and supportive Director, rather than being left to manage the service in isolation. You'll have genuine input into how we develop the business, our team and the services we provide.

What do we offer?

  • £38,000 – £43,000 salary, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Performance-related annual bonus with clear and realistic targets.
  • Additional payment for participating in the on-call rota.
  • Regular salary and performance reviews.
  • Reimbursement of your Enhanced DBS check fee.
  • Training, development and ongoing support.
  • Support from an experienced and proactive GoodOaks franchise support team.
  • Employment perks and benefits, including volunteer days.
  • The opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth of an established local care service.
  • A supportive, positive and proactive working culture.
  • The backing of the UK's only carbon-neutral care franchise, with a strong focus on quality of care.

Most importantly, you'll be joining a business where the Registered Manager is viewed as a key member of the leadership team, with the opportunity to make a genuine impact. If you're an experienced care professional looking for more than simply managing the day-to-day operation of a branch, we'd love to hear from you.
