GoodOaks Homecare Bedford is an award-winning domiciliary care provider, known for delivering high-quality, person-centred care and for genuinely valuing the people who work with us. We are now seeking an experienced, resilient, and highly organised Care Co-Ordinator to join our growing Bedford team. This is a key operational role at the heart of the service, supporting daily care delivery and ensuring our clients receive safe, reliable, and outstanding care.
Your Role as Care Co-Ordinator
- Producing weekly rotas and care schedules to ensure consistent, high-quality care delivery
- Organising schedules around client-preferred visit times and care professional availability
- Actively supporting care plans, care assessments, audits, and record-keeping to maintain strong CQC compliance
- Managing staff absence, holidays, additional call allocation, and call cancellations
- Providing daily troubleshooting and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
- Attending care calls and covering on-call duties (additional pay provided) alongside the wider team
- Maintaining clear and professional communication with care professionals, clients, families, and external professionals
- Ensuring accurate, timely documentation of all key and relevant information
- Supporting the onboarding, training, and induction of new team members
- Helping GoodOaks deliver a continuous, reliable, and high-quality service
- Promoting a positive team culture, supporting morale and professionalism
About You
- Highly organised, resilient, and efficient, with a strong people-focused approach
- A confident communicator who remains calm and solution-focused under pressure
- IT confident, comfortable using scheduling systems and digital records
- Reliable, proactive, and able to build trust with care professionals and management
- Experienced in domiciliary or community-based care (strongly preferred)
- Growth-focused, with a desire to develop yourself and support others
- Energetic, adaptable, and comfortable balancing care delivery with coordination
- Willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check
- A full UK driving licence holder with access to your own vehicle (essential)
