Purpose of the role The Procurement Executive will be responsible for all things products and stock offered by goodnus limited. It will require a motivated individual who can plan, organise and assist our business to grow in an efficient and effective way. It will be a varied role which will require a hands-on approach to ensure stock is ordered correctly, suppliers are kept honest and new products lines are researched and selected based on the goodnus “Good, Better, Green” model.
Key responsibilities and tasks:
- Generate order requirements for all orders placed by the company.
- Manage appropriate stock levels for customer needs.
- Product Cost of Sale benchmarking quarterly.
- Management of Allergen / Nutritional Information.
- Good Better Greener Status for all suppliers.
- Resolve issues arising from supplier interaction e.g. inaccurate deliveries or poor product quality.
- Developing products through insights from market research and customer buying behaviour.
- Defining the key features, specifications and requirements of the product based on customer preferences.
- Establishing strategies for product pricing and positioning.
- Managing the budgets of multi-disciplinary teams involved with product development.
- Assisting with product launches and marketing campaigns.
- Conducting competitor research to learn more about customers’ needs.
- Assisting with profit analysis and forecasting to develop or improve product marketing strategies.
- Perform regular product price benchmarking to ensure value for money is achieved in purchasing.
- Creating project timeline and implementation schedules.
- Identifying and approaching potential distributors.
- Practising discretion when discussing the production roll-out and maintaining confidentiality.
- Review approved supplier information and request updates when required.
- Be a first point of contact for all procurement queries.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience and understanding of stock control.
- Previous experience of dealing/negotiating with suppliers.
- Strong commercial skills with good attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel.
- Good organisational skills and ability to multitask.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
