A growing Pentecostal Christian organization with headquarters in Walsall West Midlands, England seeks to employ a Minister of Religion. The candidates must be Born of God “1st John 5:18, have Pentecostal background. We are a Bible-believing church that preach the complete Word of God with the power of the Holy Spirit and emphasis is laid on worship, holiness, prayer, living a right and fulfilling life. Through this, people can discover their God-given destinies and develop their potential so that they can be what God wants them to be.
The makeup of our church encompasses people from different background, race and ethnicity. But the dominant groups are BAME (Black, African And Asian Ethnic)
Main Duties
Preaching and Teaching Ministry Deliver biblically sound, engaging, and Spirit-led sermons, Bible studies, and teachings that inspire spiritual growth, discipleship, and deeper understanding of God’s Word across the congregation.
Pastoral Care and Congregational Support Provide pastoral care through counselling, prayer, visitation, mentoring, and spiritual guidance to church members, ensuring the emotional and spiritual wellbeing of the congregation.
Leadership Development and Discipleship Assist in identifying, training, mentoring, and empowering emerging leaders, volunteers, and ministry workers within the church to fulfil their God-given calling and serve effectively.
Ministry Coordination and Church Operations Support the Senior Pastor in the planning, organisation, and execution of church services, events, outreach programmes, and other ministry activities to ensure smooth and effective operations.
Children Ministry Engagement - Building meaningful relationships with children within the church community, developing relevant programmes, discipleship initiatives, and support structures that encourage active participation and spiritual growth.
Local Community Outreach and Evangelism Participate in and help coordinate evangelistic outreach, community engagement, and missions initiatives aimed at expanding the church’s impact and reaching people with the message of the Gospel
Essential Requirements
- Ability to preach, teach, and lead in a Pentecostal Christian church setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with church leadership and volunteers.
- Fluent English language ability.
- Demonstrable commitment to the Christian faith and to the beliefs and practices of Goodnews Christian Centre.
Desirable Requirements
- Ability to communicate in additional languages relevant to the church’s community.
- Knowledge of African languages.
Basis for the Role
To support the Senior Pastor in preaching, discipleship, pastoral care, leadership development, and church growth while mentoring members and advancing the ministry’s vision.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Oversee all programming and ministry for children,including Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, Summerprogramming Special events, etc. Choose and preparecurriculum for each programme and each age level.Create environment activities and programming for eachage group that will facilitate learning and encouragespiritual growth. Recruit, train, schedule and lead teamof volunteers. Provide care for children and familieswithin the church including hospital visit and follow-up.Maintain a strategy for reaching and assimilating newchildren and families. Plan and oversee special eventssuch as Children's Day. Winter festival , Children Christmas party and baby dedications.etc.
