I'm working with a leading global life reinsurer looking to appoint an Actuarial Manager into its Divisional Pricing team. This is a broad and highly visible role with growing exposure to assets, ALM and capital, particularly around how asset-side considerations are reflected within pricing.

That makes it relevant to candidates from an ALM, asset modelling or capital background, while still being an excellent opportunity for experienced pricing actuaries looking to broaden their remit. What makes the role particularly interesting is the global reach and senior-level exposure.
The team sits centrally across the business, working with pricing teams in different regions and across multiple lines of business, as well as with capital, tax and wider back-office functions.
You would be building relationships with senior stakeholders globally, with visibility extending all the way up to the CEO and other very senior leaders. The team provides independent challenge, oversight and technical support across the global pricing function.
You would review major and non-standard transactions, challenge assumptions and methodologies, and help shape consistent best practice across the business. The scope is deliberately varied, spanning areas such as Savings & Retirement, Protection and Capital Solutions.
One piece of work could involve longevity or pensions, another financial reinsurance, capital or a more asset-led pricing issue. They are looking for a qualified actuary with strong technical judgement.
Candidates could come from a conventional pricing background, or from broader areas such as ALM, asset modelling, capital or investment-related actuarial work.
Experience of asset-side modelling would be particularly useful. A major attraction is the career optionality this gives you.
