A global mid-market advisory firm is expanding its TMT (primarily Tech & Media) mid-market M&A team due to high activity and a strong, sustainable pipeline. The successful candidate will most likely hold a chartered accountancy qualification and have experience as a TMT M&A professional operating at a VP or Assistant Director level. You will be capable of hitting the ground running and confidently managing deals, as well as aspiring to build your own client contacts and be heavily involved in business development.
Responsibilities of the role include the following:
- Managing transactions and undertaking valuations of businesses, conducting negotiations, and attending, often directing, client meetings.
- Producing sales documentation, managing communications with clients, preparing and attending management presentations, overseeing due diligence processes, and reviewing and commenting on sale contracts and related documents.
- Being deeply involved in team management, including resourcing, recruitment, ongoing coaching, and career development.
In order to meet our clientβs criteria, you will:
- Have solid M&A experience and confidently operate at a VP level, able to run a deal from initiation to close.
- Have prior TMT (especially Tech) M&A experience.
- Be numerate, proactive, and eager to grow into origination and progress to MD level.
- Be able to manage multiple concurrent projects and enjoy working with and supporting the development of junior team members.
