Weβre working with a prominent organisation based in East London seeking a skilled Corporate Tax Compliance Accountant to join their in-house tax team on a temporary contract. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced tax professional with a strong compliance background, ideally with exposure to real estate or large corporate structures. You'll be working in a collaborative team, supporting on a wide range of UK tax compliance responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently prepare UK corporation and partnership tax computations using Alphatax
- Assist with statutory tax notes and tax provisioning under FRS102
- Support wider tax functions including group relief, REIT statements, Corporate Interest Restriction (CIR) calculations, and capital allowance analysis
- Help prepare ATED returns and support with investor reporting
- Collaborate with Tax Managers to meet compliance deadlines and manage a significant portfolio of entities
- Respond to ad hoc tax queries and support various aspects of tax reporting
Ideal Candidate:
- Demonstrated experience in UK corporate tax compliance (practice or industry)
- Exposure to fast-paced, deadline-driven environments with multiple stakeholders
- Experience using Alphatax or similar tax return software
- Strong Excel skills and comfort with tech-based process improvements
- Confident communicator with excellent organisational skills
- Real estate tax experience is a plus, but not essential
- A tax/accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ATT, CTA) is desirable but not essential
