Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Xledger Finance Systems Specialist to join a leading Charity on a temporary basis. This role is crucial in refining their reporting processes, documenting finance procedures, and embedding best practices within the team. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in Xledger , able to redesign processes, and confident in guiding staff through workflows in a clear and systematic way.
Key Responsibilities
Build, refine, and optimise reports in Xledger to support accurate and timely decision-making.
Document finance processes, update the Finance Manual, and create user guides for wider team use.
Work closely with finance team members, providing hands-on support and coaching in a systematic, practical manner.
Redesign and improve key processes, including budget preparation, reporting workflows, and manual/automated tasks.
Support the implementation of Xledger workflows, ensuring staff can navigate and use the system efficiently.
Collaborate with the wider organisation to ensure consistent application of finance processes.
Essential Skills and Experience
Extensive hands-on experience with Xledger (system knowledge is critical).
Strong technical and systems accounting background.
Proven ability to redesign processes and implement best practice workflows.
Experience in documentation, reporting, and creating manuals for end-users.
Excellent interpersonal skills; able to guide and support staff in a collaborative manner.
Able to hit the ground running in a busy environment.
Desirable
ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified Accountant
Experience in charity or healthcare.
Strong understanding of budgeting processes and financial reporting cycles.
