I'm supporting an organisation with a business-critical operational efficiency programme and looking for an interim Project Lead who can come in quickly and create grip. This role would suit someone who has worked in SME / mid-sized environments where you need to be practical, adaptable and able to get things done without lots of corporate machinery around you. Candidates need exposure to IT & Digital projects.

The role:

  • Lead delivery across a multi-workstream operational efficiency programme
  • Bring structure, pace and accountability to a complex environment
  • Create clear plans, actions, risks, dependencies and reporting
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders across the business
  • Coordinate activity across technology, data, engagement and governance workstreams
  • Keep people moving and follow up properly
  • Challenge blockers, risks and delivery quality where needed
  • Work with technical teams and suppliers, without needing to be deeply technical
  • Help take pressure off senior leaders quickly

Key experience:

  • Project / delivery leadership
  • Operational efficiency or business change
  • Technology-enabled change
  • CRM, Salesforce, data or business systems exposure
  • Stakeholder management
  • Supplier / third-party management
  • Governance, RAID, reporting and action tracking
  • Experience working in ambiguous or messy environments
  • SME / mid-sized business experience highly relevant

This is not a heavy programme framework role. They need someone pragmatic, hands-on and commercially aware who can bring the right level of structure and get things moving quickly. Outside IR35 contract. London hybrid.
