A highly regarded, international law firm is looking to appoint a Senior Management Accountant within its London finance team. The firm has a strong reputation in the market, a stable partner base, and a collaborative culture.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Management Accountant who enjoys operating in a professional services environment, working closely with senior stakeholders, and playing a hands-on role in month-end, reporting, and planning. The firm operates a hybrid working model with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.
Reporting directly to an experienced and supportive Financial Controller, the role offers good exposure, autonomy, and longer-term progression within a well-run finance function.
ResponsibilitiesAs Senior Management Accountant, you will take ownership of the monthly management accounts. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation of monthly and annual management accounts
- Production of P&L and balance sheet reporting, including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
- Variance analysis against budget and prior periods, with clear commentary
- Overhead and cost analysis, supporting budget holders across the firm
- Cash flow monitoring and forecasting
- Maintenance of the fixed asset register
- Intercompany reconciliations where applicable
- Supporting year-end processes and audit requirements
Qualified or Part Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA). Experience within professional services is preferred (law firm, consultancy, accountancy, etc.). Comfortable business partnering with senior stakeholders. Strong attention to detail with a well-controlled approach. Looking for a stable, high-quality environment rather than a high-pressure corporate role.
