I’m currently recruiting for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join a large, complex and fast-paced organisation in a highly commercial role. While the role is initially 6 months, it is highly likely to be extended beyond that. Candidates must be available to start work in September or early October.

This would suit a qualified accountant with a minimum of 2 years (likely to be more) post qualified experience, ideally in a commercial role. There is no prior experience of people management required, but this would suit someone looking to gain that experience because the role manages 2 people.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong Finance Business Partner who enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders, providing meaningful insight and using financial analysis to influence commercial decision-making.

You’ll partner with senior commercial leaders across areas including pricing, product strategy, revenue, costs and transformation, while also taking ownership of key commercial reporting and forecasting processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a trusted Finance Business Partner to senior commercial stakeholders
  • Providing insight and challenge around pricing, product strategy and commercial performance
  • Supporting strategic initiatives and business cases
  • Leading commercial P&L, revenue and cost reporting
  • Owning and reviewing forecasts, budgets and business plans
  • Identifying opportunities to improve revenue, costs and overall performance
  • Using analysis to turn complex financial and business data into clear commercial recommendations
  • Supporting transformation, automation and process improvement initiatives

The role has a strong emphasis on commercial insight and business partnering rather than simply producing the numbers. You’ll be expected to understand what is driving performance, challenge stakeholders and help shape commercial decisions. The position also has responsibility for improving reporting and forecasting processes.
