My client is a global asset manager with circa £20Bn AUM. They are now seeking an RFP Associate to join their team based in London. This role will be office-based for four days per week with one day from home.

The RFP Associate is predominantly responsible for the due diligence questionnaires and queries received from retail intermediaries, institutional clients, and others, as well as for online DDQ portals, such as AssetQ, DDHub, Door and others, with the aim to facilitate retail new business wins and existing client retention.

The RFP Associate proactively works with retail sales, marketing, operations, business development, investment teams and others around the business to write high quality, tailored responses to information requests and detailed due diligence questionnaires. This involves writing new content as well as using existing material.

The RFP Associate also provides support, as needed, on new business RFPs, and ensures standard RFPs are produced in a timely manner. In addition, the RFP Associate may be required to support proactive business development activity, including prospect research, outbound calls to prospective and existing adviser firms, qualifying opportunities, arranging meetings for Business Development Managers, and maintaining accurate CRM records.

In the medium to long term, there would be an opportunity to transfer into the sales team.

My client is looking for someone with at least 3 years experience with the following skill set:

  • Experience in RFP/DDQ writing or related experience in the asset management industry. Experience with online DDQ portals, such as AssetQ and Door would be an advantage.
  • Excellent writing skills. Strong attention to detail in terms of spelling, grammar and formatting. Producing attractive, accurate and detailed documents is key.
  • Strong analytical skills and product knowledge. Ability to understand and describe operational aspects, investment processes and firm information in detail.
  • IMC or comparable qualification, or willing to study towards.
  • Strong organisational skills. Ability to co-ordinate work across several departments, work to tight deadlines, prioritise competing tasks and work on own initiative.
  • Thorough understanding of institutional and advisory markets and distribution channels.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder management.
