We have an exceptional opportunity to join our team as a Resident Voice Officer (12 month FTC). Be at the heart of resident engagement - shaping and delivering initiatives that ensure residents' voices are heard, valued, and acted upon. Working across the business, you'll help strengthen communities, improve services, and support residents to live well and safely in their homes. We own and manage c.8,000 homes in the east of England, working closely with other agencies and stakeholders within our communities. We build on the good foundations we have in place in being a customer-centric organisation, investing in our existing homes - including our zero-carbon journey - as well as building new homes. A lot of our roles come with options around home and office flexible working, as well as a generous annual leave allowance and other benefits. Please note this role is on a 12 month FTC.

Requirements

  • Coordinate and deliver resident engagement events and activities, working collaboratively across teams to ensure effective planning and delivery of projects and initiatives.
  • Work closely with external agencies, Community Champions, and Resident Associations to understand local community needs and strengthen the resident voice within communities.
  • Support the organisation and delivery of resident voice focus groups, helping to ensure meaningful resident participation and engagement.
  • Maintain a visible presence within the community for at least two days per week, engaging with residents, stakeholders, and internal teams to advocate for resident needs and priorities.
  • Assess applications and administer funding through the Community Investment Grant programme, including liaising with charities and partner organisations and monitoring project progress and outcomes.
  • Support communities to overcome local challenges by identifying opportunities for improvement and helping residents to live well and safely in their homes.

We are looking for someone who has...

  • Experience working in resident engagement, community involvement, customer service, or housing-related roles.
  • Experience supporting resident panels, forums, focus groups, consultation events, or similar engagement activities.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with residents from a wide range of backgrounds, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive, trusted relationships with residents, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate meetings, events, and resident engagement activities effectively.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

  • An annual salary of £26,521.88 plus a car allowance of £1,545 per annum.
