Join us as our Repairs and Maintenance Manager! Lead a high-performing repairs and maintenance service, driving top-quartile results while delivering quality outcomes for our customers. Our Freebridge Community Housing goal is to provide affordable, safe, and quality homes for current and future generations, for those who need a place to call home. Freebridge was set up in 2006, to receive the transfer of the Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk's housing stock. We now have over 7500 properties across West and North Norfolk, in addition to building new homes for social and affordable rent, and to support those who want to move into shared home ownership. We've had numerous achievements, including delivering our tenants' promises and bringing homes to the Decent Homes Standard, affording our customers a much better quality of living. Requirements

  • To be responsible for the development, delivery and review of all aspects of the Repairs & Maintenance Service
  • To lead on developing, coordinating and monitoring of business planning and improvement activity across repairs and maintenance to ensure corporate priorities are delivered and value for money achieved
  • Take overall responsibility for leading, managing, motivating and developing staff and contractors operating within the Repairs and Maintenance Service
  • Lead, co-ordinate, monitor and review projects, key areas of service delivery and contracts that contribute to the delivery of a high-quality repairs and maintenance service that meet the needs of tenants, leaseholders and the wider communities
  • Develop and deliver a safe, timely and cost-effective in-house responsive repairs & maintenance service.
  • Deliver high performance against first-time fix repairs, repairs completions and tenant satisfaction targets
  • To have responsibility for and effectively lead the financial planning and management of all delegated revenue and capital budgets within the service

We are looking for someone who has...

  • Recognised HND technical qualification e.g. building surveying or member CIOB
  • Experience of managing a high performing team in the repairs and/or voids environment
  • Experience of management of a multi-disciplinary and multi-function business and customer services function at a senior level in a sizeable and complex organisation
  • Demonstrable skills in performance, organisational management, risk management, financial & budgetary management and people management
  • Ability to quickly develop a strategic understanding of the business priorities of business and customer services functions and service delivery as well as the organisation
  • Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle
