We have a fantastic opportunity to join us as a Plasterer - so if you are experienced, driven and passionate about offering excellent customer service, this could be the role for you! Our Freebridge Community Housing goal is to provide affordable, safe, and quality homes for current and future generations, for those who need a place to call home. Freebridge was set up in 2006, to receive the transfer of the Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk's housing stock. We now have over 7500 properties across West and North Norfolk, in addition to building new homes for social and affordable rent, and to support those who want to move into shared home ownership. We've had numerous achievements, including delivering our tenants' promises and bringing homes to the Decent Homes Standard, affording our customers a much better quality of living. Requirements
- Carry out a wide range of plastering repairs and maintenance works making good following other trades, in line with the Freebridge Standard and industry best practice to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Use trade knowledge and experience to identify issues, assess the extent of repairs required, prepare surfaces, and select appropriate materials and repair methods to deliver durable, high-quality finishes.
- Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues regarding plastering works being undertaken, including explaining repair processes, expected drying times, access requirements, and completion timescales while maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach.
- Work safely and responsibly at all times, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, safe systems of work, COSHH requirements, asbestos awareness procedures, and all internal guidance to protect yourself, colleagues and customers.
- Manage plastering works from initial inspection through to completion, including assessing repair requirements, ordering materials, preparing work areas, completing repairs, carrying out finishing checks, and accurately completing all paperwork or electronic job records within required timescales.
We are looking for someone who has...
- City & Guilds (or other recognised awarding body) trade qualification in plastering.
- At least 3 years experience in a maintenance environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- The ability to work on own initiative.
- Full valid UK driving licence.
