Rate: £500-£600 per day depending on experience

Join a high-growth, international listed business and play a pivotal role in shaping technical accounting policy, financial reporting excellence, and strategic decision-making. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a highly visible role at the centre of the Group Finance function. You'll combine deep technical accounting expertise with strong stakeholder management skills to influence key business decisions across a complex multinational environment.

The Opportunity:

We're looking for an experienced Technical Accounting & Reporting Manager who thrives on solving complex accounting challenges, partnering with senior stakeholders, and driving best-in-class financial reporting. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-scaling business while working across a broad range of technical accounting matters and strategic initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead the preparation of annual, quarterly, and interim financial reporting under IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Serve as the internal technical accounting expert, providing guidance on:
    • Revenue recognition (IFRS 15 / ASC 606)
    • Business combinations (IFRS 3 / ASC 805)
    • Financial instruments
    • Impairments
    • Share-based compensation
    • Intangible assets
  • Prepare high-quality technical accounting papers supporting complex judgments across M&A, R&D, and commercial transactions
  • Own and continuously enhance the Group accounting policy framework
  • Partner with finance, legal, tax, and commercial teams to ensure accounting considerations are embedded in key business decisions
  • Lead discussions with external auditors on complex and judgemental accounting matters
  • Monitor emerging accounting and regulatory developments, translating their impact into practical business recommendations
  • Deliver training and guidance to finance and non-finance stakeholders across the organisation

What We're Looking For:

  • ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification
  • Big 4 background, or significant experience within a listed multinational business
  • Strong technical knowledge of both IFRS and US GAAP
  • Demonstrated expertise in revenue recognition, business combinations, financial instruments, impairments, and share-based compensation
  • Experience drafting robust technical accounting memoranda and supporting complex accounting positions
  • Exposure to M&A, R&D accounting, and commercial deal structures
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical matters to a broad audience
  • A proactive, commercially minded approach and a desire to influence business outcomes
