The role sits within a highly complex, cross-border environment supporting structured finance, global markets, and investment banking activities. This is a key technical and strategic position covering corporate tax, structured transactions, regulatory tax reporting, and tax systems transformation across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead tax input across structured finance transactions including equity-linked products and cross-border leasing arrangements.
- Provide international tax advisory support on structured asset finance.
- Lead engagement with tax authorities on audits, business risk reviews, and ongoing compliance matters, maintaining a strong risk management profile.
- Drive delivery of key regulatory tax frameworks including Pillar 2, DAC6, and hybrid mismatch rules, ensuring robust documentation and governance across the UK business.
- Manage transfer pricing framework design and implementation across markets.
- Engage with finance, IT, and external advisors to deliver scalable tax processes and system enhancements across multiple platforms.
- Negotiate and manage discussions with tax authorities on complex methodologies, disclosures, and historical adjustments.
- Oversee tax reporting obligations including IFRS tax reporting, provisioning, and tax disclosures for financial statements and audit processes.
- Act as a senior point of contact for tax governance, including the development, implementation, and maintenance of internal tax policies and procedures.
