Service Charge Officer / Analyst
About the organisation
The organisation is a well-established housing association based in London, providing homes and strong customer services to their local community. They are looking for a hands‑on candidate to join the service charge team and support activity during a busy period.
The Role
An initial 3‑month interim role focused on completing the 2025/26 service charge actuals and reconciliations, with the potential to extend for the right person and support the 2026/27 cycle.
Key responsibilities
- Complete 2025/26 service charge reconciliations accurately and efficiently
- Work with accruals, prepayments and service charge data
- Investigate queries and follow up with relevant teams to get the information needed
- Help embed good processes and best practice across service charge accounting
- Build strong relationships with colleagues and confidently get things moving
About you
- Some experience of service charge accounting and reconciliations within housing
- Confident working with accruals, prepayments and financial data
- Strong Excel skills, with the ability to understand and summarise data
- Hands on person with initiative who doesn't need constant direction
- Accurate, organised and confident dealing with a range of stakeholders
