The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading operational and finance transformations, ideally in a heavy asset and project based industry. We are seeking an experienced Transformation Manager to support a major oil & gas company with a transformation focusing on strengthening financial control across projects, reducing costs, enhancing billing accuracy and timeliness, and strengthening business partnering between Finance and Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the central Finance function, as well as Project Management, Commercial, IT and regional Finance teams, you will:
- Establish and implement effective Finance Project Controller roles that are fit for purpose
- Develop robust ways of working, reporting practices and control frameworks
- Serve as the lead subject‐matter expert in defining Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) models
- Bring together inputs from Finance and cross‐functional teams to support enterprise‐wide project control initiatives
- Enhance the speed, accuracy and visibility of project financial reporting
- Identify and deliver opportunities for process optimisation and technology‐driven automation
Candidate Profile:
- Extensive experience in project finance or project controls within oil & gas, energy, or project focused industries
- Background in consulting would be preferred or a strong record of delivering finance transformation, project controls or operating model change in large companies
- Previous success in designing and embedding robust project control frameworks and consistent operating models
- Comfortable acting as a senior interim, influencing stakeholders across Finance, Operations and Project Management at all levels
- Strong technical knowledge of WBS structures, cost management, billing processes and project reporting
