. This is a newly created leadership position offering the opportunity to shape the future of the tax function within a fast‑moving international business.

Working closely with the CFO and senior leadership team, you’ll lead all aspects of the group’s tax agenda, ensuring the business has a commercially focused, scalable approach to tax as it continues its international growth.

The Role

This is a broad leadership role with responsibility for tax strategy, governance, compliance and business partnering.

You’ll provide pragmatic advice on complex commercial matters while ensuring the organisation maintains strong tax processes and controls across multiple jurisdictions.

You’ll also play a key role in developing the tax operating model, improving processes through technology and automation, and building a high‑performing team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the group’s global tax strategy and provide commercial advice to senior stakeholders.
  • Oversee direct and indirect tax matters across an international business.
  • Ensure robust governance, controls and risk management are embedded throughout the organisation.
  • Partner with Finance, Legal and external advisers on corporate transactions, business initiatives and international expansion.
  • Drive improvements to tax processes through technology, automation and data‑led solutions.
  • Lead relationships with external advisers and tax authorities where required.
  • Develop and mentor the tax team, creating a collaborative and commercially focused culture.

About You

We’re looking for an experienced tax professional who enjoys operating in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

You’ll ideally bring

  • ACA, CTA, CPA or equivalent qualification.
  • Extensive international tax experience gained in practice and/or industry.
  • Experience leading tax within a multinational organisation.
  • Strong technical knowledge across corporate tax, indirect tax and international tax matters.

Previous experience within a high‑growth fintech, technology or digital business is highly desirable.
