Goodman Masson are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a global, PE-backed Sports business who are looking to hire into their London based Commercial finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded commercial/FP&A professional to step into a highly visible role, working closely with senior stakeholders and supporting the business through an exciting period of growth.
With significant private equity backing, the company is scaling quickly across the UK and internationally. Finance is seen as a key partner in driving performance, with the team at the heart of budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and supporting investment decisions.
The Role
This position will suit someone who wants to go beyond “just the numbers” and really get under the skin of how the business operates. You’ll be providing financial analysis and insight to department heads, supporting decision-making, and helping to drive profitability. Alongside core FP&A responsibilities, you’ll also have the chance to contribute to ongoing finance transformation and improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting processes
- Build and maintain financial models to support analysis and decision-making
- Partner with non-finance stakeholders, helping them understand performance and manage budgets effectively
- Provide analysis for ad hoc commercial projects, scenario planning, and performance reviews
What We’re Looking For
- Recently qualified accountant (ACA / CIMA / ACCA)
- Strong FP&A / commercial finance experience OR someone from M&A/TS/Deals
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
- Confident communicator, able to work with non-finance stakeholders and build strong relationships
- Proactive and commercially minded with a genuine interest in the media sector
