Hybrid Working: 2/3 days a week in the office. This is a great role for someone part-way through their accounting qualification and is looking for a broad finance role where they can progress within the team quickly and take on further responsibility as they develop. The business is a mid-sized Real Estate Investment Manager based in London. As part of a small finance team of 4, you will report into a very personable and experienced Head of Finance who you can learn from. The role will take on a wide range of responsibilities ranging from AP and AR to supporting the preparation of Financial Statements. They are looking for someone who is adaptable and willing to pick up a wide range of responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process all AP and AR transactions
- Pivotal role in month end close procedures
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of monthly VAT returns
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist in the group treasury function
- Supporting the Group Accountant in the preparation of Financial Statements and disclosures
- Supporting the annual statutory audit process
- Support external tax advisors in tax compliance matters
- Work with the wider finance team to increase efficiency and accuracy of existing finance processes
- Co-ordinate the continuous improvement of the financial process and control landscape
- Support the Group Accountant with ad-hoc projects as required
