Our Freebridge Community Housing goal is to provide affordable, safe, and quality homes for current and future generations, for those who need a place to call home. Freebridge was set up in 2006, to receive the transfer of the Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk's housing stock. We now have over 7500 properties across West and North Norfolk, in addition to building new homes for social and affordable rent, and to support those who want to move into shared home ownership. We've had numerous achievements, including delivering our tenants' promises and bringing homes to the Decent Homes Standard, affording our customers a much better quality of living. Please note: There is a requirement to be on the out of hours rota, to be on call and to attend works out of hours, at weekends and on public holidays.
Requirements
- Carry out electrical maintenance and installation works in line with company standards and industry best practice, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults using your technical expertise, ensuring all work is compliant with current legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues on site, taking responsibility for the successful completion of tasks.
- Communicate technical information clearly to customers and non-technical colleagues, including explaining works, safety requirements, and compliance standards.
- Work safely at all times, ensuring the wellbeing of yourself, colleagues, customers, and the wider public, in line with health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Manage jobs from start to finish, including inspections, planning, materials ordering, completion of works, and accurate, timely documentation.
We are looking for someone who has...
- A recognised electrical qualification (e.g. City & Guilds or equivalent).
- A 2391 Inspection and Testing Qualification.
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) working in an electrical maintenance environment.
- Current registration with a relevant professional or regulatory body.
- A strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- A full UK driving licence.
