About Good Together Group

Good Together Group is a growing international recruitment business with offices in London, Dusseldorf, Oman and New York. As our business continues to evolve, we are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to take ownership of day-to-day HR across our teams. This is a broad, hands-on HR role offering genuine ownership and exposure across the full employee lifecycle. You will be a trusted point of contact for employees and managers, providing practical HR advice, managing core people processes and supporting the delivery of wider People & Culture initiatives.

This is not a role focused purely on HR administration or managing an HR ticketing system. We are looking for someone who has already operated as a well-rounded HR professional, is comfortable managing their own employee population and can confidently handle a wide range of HR matters.

The Role

Working closely with the Group Head of People & Culture, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy, making day-to-day decisions and escalating more complex or material matters when appropriate. You will support colleagues across both our London and New York offices, ensuring HR processes are efficient, compliant and genuinely useful to the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the trusted first point of contact for HR-related queries across the London and New York offices.
  • Provide practical, confident first-line HR advice to employees and managers across the employee lifecycle.
  • Build strong relationships with employees and managers, proactively engaging with teams rather than simply responding to queries.
  • Manage and continuously improve core HR processes, including onboarding, offboarding, contracts, employee records and payroll administration.
  • Support managers and employees through employee relations matters, organisational change and other sensitive conversations.
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and relevant HR regulations, with an understanding of the requirements associated with our US operations.
  • Conduct and/or support employee conversations, including exit and stay interviews, identifying trends and opportunities to improve engagement and retention.
  • Work closely with Finance on payroll and other people-related processes.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
  • Produce HR reports, analysis and insight to support decision-making.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR policies, processes, initiatives and change programmes.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate routine HR processes, reducing unnecessary administration.
  • Contribute to the wider People & Culture strategy and help translate it into practical initiatives across the business.

About You

We are looking for an experienced HR professional who can operate independently and take genuine ownership of their work. You will ideally have:

  • At least 4 years’ experience in a broad HR Generalist, HR Manager or comparable HR role.
  • Experience independently managing a defined employee population and providing a holistic HR service.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR compliance.
  • Experience working across a broad range of HR disciplines rather than specialising in a single area.
  • Experience in an international organisation, ideally with multiple business units, teams or business models.
  • Experience designing, implementing and improving HR processes and workflows.
  • Experience supporting or leading change and culture initiatives.
  • Confidence handling employee relations matters and participating in sensitive employee conversations.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands effectively.
  • A proactive approach to communication, including reaching out to employees and managers and building trusted relationships.
  • Good judgement and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Experience using HR systems and digital HR tools, with an interest in automation and process improvement.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • CIPD or a comparable HR qualification, or a relevant degree/qualification in HR, Business, Psychology or a related discipline.
  • German language skills would be an advantage but are not essential.

What You’ll Get

  • £40,000-£45,000 salary
  • Flexible working options, with a minimum of 3 days per week in our London office
  • 3:30pm finish every Friday
  • An award-winning benefits boutique, including:
    • Mortgage scheme
    • Exotic holiday scheme
    • Knowledge scheme
    • Home improvement scheme
    • Your birthday off
    • Incredible annual summer and Christmas parties
    • An annual overseas ‘Super Trip’
    • Quarterly lunches for our top performers
    • Plenty of additional celebrations, incentives and team events throughout the year
  • The opportunity to work within a growing, international recruitment business
  • Genuine ownership across the full employee lifecycle
  • The opportunity to work closely with the Group Head of People & Culture and make a tangible impact on our people, processes and culture

If you’re an experienced HR professional looking for a role where you can take ownership, build strong relationships and have a genuine influence on the way HR operates, we’d love to hear from you.
